Manipulating IMG Files
I have a .img (image) file, which I wish to partition and format. It will be an image of a hard disk when completed, but I wish to place some files on the disk before I put it to use. So, how can I partition and format the disk on my box already. I can try to mount the disk, but it says that I have to specify a file system type, which I haven't got yet because the disk is not formatted. If I use cfdisk to try to modify the partition table, I cannot as the program is unable to find the disk size. I also wish to mount the disk, but I haven't really looked into this yet.
