You need to log back in the USB Pendrive as root user, since it will first boot up into a standard type user. Also what type of files from what operating system are you attempting to delete, is it XP or Vista ?

How to change the Permissions to READ and WRITE?

I tried as root too. I made a persistant loop too but still cant set the permissions to read and write.

Tell me how can I change the permissions, thats the basic problem. Im able to change the permissions of removable drives successfully but cant change hard drive permissions.

Please answer the question from james2b, post #2

The NTFS ( and other "Windows" like 'vfat*' ) file system has no 'permission scheme'
and thus no permissions to change. ! !
