mandriva-linux-one-2009-beta1i586 system hangs


I just installed the 2009 beta version of Mandriva and it completely freezes when I open firefox version 3 then when I reboot it won't work never happened before the system is a model 3003lci aspire laptop made by acer I did a hardware check everything is fine please reply any help is greatly appreciated

This is only my personal advise. If you are fairly new to linux (maybe your not, if so, disregard this) stay on stable release. this will avoid this kinda problem.
When it crashes, can you get to a console? (ctrl+alt+Fx)
