Mandriva Linux 2008 distorted screeen on bootup

Hi all, I am new to linux in general. I just installed Mandriva Linux powerpack 2008. The problem is that on bootup i get alot for fuzzy blue lines/white lines and are unable to see any options to make changes. Does anybody know how to resolve this isssue?

Sounds like your xorg.conf might not be right. Does mandriva offer a "safe mode" to boot into ? Then you could run a few tools to redo the xorg.conf. Listing your video card and monitor here might help others help you better than I can.

Well, During install I used Radeon 9250 and earlier as my option for video card. I have a 9200 Radeon LE video card. Even safe mode has same problem.
