Mandriva Install flag -noauto

Okay the Mandriva installation hangs/locks up my system unless I use the -noauto flag when booting the installation.

noauto disables any hardware detection...

So my USB ports and other pieces of hardware are disabled once I enter the actual installation phase -- but they all work before I enter that phase.

So here is my question:
- Will installing using noauto give me future problems? I have no idea the driver types, so I'll need to auto detect eventually anyway...

No Auto is giving me current problems right from the start...
I cannot get the mouse to work, skip that...
I then get a HUGE list of hard disk choices, none of which I can make sense of...

I have to get Mandriva installed....

Think Fedora Core 4 will have the same problem?

Or can anyone help find out how to tell Mandriva with disk interface to use outta the list of a hundred.

I'm not sure what you mean - have you tried installing with noauto? what happens after the install? The install should only take half an hour to 45 mins.

No, I cannot install...

When using the noauto flag it begins asking me so many questions I do not get...
Like having to choose my USB Format... I skipped that.
More importantly it doesn't recognize any drives because I cannot tell it which disk interface to use... A list of like 100.
