Mandriva DHCP connection problem

I have a Mandriva 2008.1 installed on my system.

At home, it works well with my wlan router. Also, there are some other routers that works well with my system...
...but, there are routers that my system usually cannot obtain an IP address from (also, rarely it can) - time out.

The wlan associates correctly and if I give an IP address manually, it works well. So, the problem is not the wlan itself.
...but there are cases, when I would like to use the wlan network, and I also have to use DHCP with those routers.

In this cases, Windows still can connect and works via DHCP.

I've installed Mandriva on an other machine (with absolutely other type of CPU, chipset and wlan) and it 'works' exactly the same way, so the problem is something on the software and not the hardware or its modules.

What may I have to do to get the DHCP work correctly?

I haven't tried with other distributions.

Try reading the system log if that gives you any more information what went wrong when your computer tried to get the IP from DHCP server. DHCP daemon starts during boot and usually writes its log output to /var/log/messages. Filter the file with grep looking for DHCP entries. That should give you indication of what went wrong.

I really don't know what is the problem.

The other machine I tried with is a Lenovo and it has an Intel wlan card.

Sorry for the lots of messages I wrote here...

Do you mean I have to disable ssb?

Now I can't do it, because b43 uses it.
I don't know if ssb was loaded when I'm used bcm43xx, but it had this problem too (that's why I went to b43).

May I disable ssb and let the wlan still work?
I will check the other computer (that also has this problem with Mandriva) to see if ssb loaded in it.

Update: No, that computer don't have ssb loaded.
What may I have to do?
