Question Mandriva 2009: Installing a working Frostwire

First I'd like to say Hi! this is my first post!

I'm kind of new to linux. I just got Mandriva 2009 installed and I'd LOVE to have a working Frostwire.

I've tried the rpm download but it doesn't seem to want to install correctly. I click the Frostwire icon after it's complete and it seems to just time out. Went trying to run it through the terminal it asks for Java 1.4+ and says I have 1.6. So I don't think that's the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time and patience!

So I tried that. Terminal says it can't locate that file

I'll keep trying though. I appreciate the link, thanks again!

Nope you need to remove the rpm version. Then download and install the source version that ends with .tar.gz From what I gather this is a known problem when using the rpm installed version.
