mandriva 2008 fat 32 problem

hai everybody

i am a user of mandriva for past 2 years my mandriva 2007 worked well i can make file in my fat 32 hdd but when i upgraded to mandriva 2008 i cant make file help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you open a konsole, run the command 'cat /etc/fstab' and cut and paste the results here. You probably have the partition mounted RO ( read only ).

i edited the fstab file to rw and found the vfat working well can i edit the ntfs also like this ???????????

You'll need to install ntfs-3g to read/write to ntfs.
