mandriva 2008.1 One spring Live KDE Compiz problems with ATI
 

Hello,
I tested said live distro, it seemed to work, installed it on my computer, and activated Compiz. My Video Card is an ATI Radeon X550 with 256 MB memory (RV370) and should be able to give 3D. Actually, on an other partition with Ubuntu, it works on the same hardware. With Mandriva it is slow, halting, to the point of being problematic. Are there issues with the distribution and Compiz?

If it's going to be of any help to you,I would say that based on my expirience Compiz is having some problems when running on KDE,that's one of the reasons way I have Mandriva 2008.1 One Spring/Gnome with Copmiz on ATI Radeon 9200 and it's working just great.
