Mandriva 2007 install problems SATA DVD-Rom no drivers
I read other posts with similar problems but they were much older. Perhaps there is a newer, easier solution.
Mandriva isinstalled on a dual boot with Vista and then I changed to a more performant motherboard. All other hardware is the same except I upgraded to a SATA DVDrom.
When I tried to boot Mandriva it failed. So I tried to repair, and I get the message "no dvd rom found" and yet it is reading from the dvd rom??
Then I am asked to chose from a long list of drivers. I have no idea what to use. I tried a few that mentioned SATA but that didn't work.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate getting my Mandriva back.
PS. Because Mandriva is still on the harddrive can I boot the OS without going through the install/repair process and bypass the SATA dvdrom problem?
