Are all these connected to the net ????
If so, it might be just as easy to follow the instructions at easy urpmi
and then just run the updates etc and then it should (theoretically) be listed in the software available for install.
If that doesn't work, maybe you should search the discs, then copy the rpm to the hard drive and propgate it via network, or burn too disc.
Or if it's definitely on the disc (i.e. the install disc - well one of them), then surely you should be able to put the install discs in and run the updates and then be able to find it in the software manager.
I can think of no reason why it would be hardware dependant - except for maybe if it was 64bit systems, and you were trying to put it on a 32 bit system - that might throw up some errors or something daft!
Sorry if you already tried these ideas, but thats all I can think of.
