Mandriva 2006

I am new to Linux and hope someone can help me here. I downloaded Mandriva 2006 from Softpedia; all three images. I followed all the rules from this site on how to burn these cd's with Roxio and Nero with no success. After I burn a cd and then try to boot the disk it only shows me a window with a lot of files in it. I had no trouble when I burned cd's for Mandrake 10.1.

2 questions.....have you changed your bios boot order to optical drive b4 hard drive.

and I appreciate you are saying that you know how to burn iso cds....did you do a md5sum check?

I do not know how to burn isos in MS but if you mdk 10.1 I can tell you how to use k3b
