Mandrake10 Win98SE dual boot using Lilo hangs
 

I installed Mandrake 10 on my primary master drive (serial ata), and afterwards installed Win98SE on my secondary master drive (IDE). I used linux to format the secondary master with FAT32.

I added the Windblows drive to the Lilo boot loader, but whenever I choose the Windblows option the computer just hangs. When I swap between the drives in the BIOS (boot order) everything boots up fine, and when I choose Linux option in Lilo, Linux loads fine.

Can anyone please help?

I don't think Windows 98 will run unless it thinks it's on the first hard disk. I think there is an option called "master-boot" that you can put in your lilo.conf file. I've never used it, but it looks like it should fool Windows into THINKING that it is running on the first hard drive, even when it's not. I would look in the lilo.conf man page for more info.
