Mandrake Pannel Question
Hi all, I put this in here since I figure it is a simple newbie question.
so how I managed to close the desktop buttons in KDE on Mandrake. I have not been able to figure out how to get the Icons back. Any idea's? |
What do you mean?
|
The little desktop Icons, that let you change between desktop 1, 2, 3, 4, etc... how ever many you have setup.
|
What do you mean by 'close? To configure (ie how many, etc), right-click the desktop. To determine whether the pager (the buttons in the panel) appears, right click the panel, choose 'add', then choose 'add applet'. It should be on that list.

I have run through all of the Applets and none of them bring back the black boxes that represent the desktops...
I can add more desktops, but the boxes for them do not appear (new or old) I'm running mandrake 9.2 if it helps.. I guess I need to compares this system with the one I have at home... |
Like aaa said, if you right-click anywhere on the desktop you should get the 'Configure Desktop' option. Inside the configure desktop dialogue you click on the tab for 'Multiple Desktops'. There you can choose the number of virtual desktops you want and their names. To place them on the panel, you right-click on the panel and go 'Add' > 'Applet' > 'Pager'. It should appear. Maybe you have only one desktop set up, but in that case you should still have a little box showing on your panel. Other than that there is really nothing I can tell you.
