mandrake linux boot image

I can't seem to get mandrake to boot to start the installation. I have a USB floppy that i have attached to my laptop and i created the boot image using the rawrite program that was included and the boot still failed. Anyone have any suggestions??

Have you tried booting from the CD. The CD is bootable...that is how I do it here.

i tired the floppy because booting from the cd gives the same "boot failed" message. and ofcourse there isn't an autoboot.bat file in dosutils.

Something similar happened to me on my first install and it turned out to be a bad burn (I'm assuming you downloaded and burned your own disks here). Have you tried re-burning the disks?
