whats up,
im trying to install mandrake 9.1, i get to the installation screen where you press enter to begin installation. after i press enter it begins. after about 5 seconds it says detecting usb ports, then says trying to access cdrom, then it stops. says it cannot find installation cd. i know its not the cd cause i tried it on another machine and it loaded fine. i do have an external cd burner but i unplugged it. my cd rom is good cause it reads everyhting else. the log mentions something about mounting. not totally sure what is happening, any advice would be great. thanks.

i also tried making my cdrom master on boot, that didnt help either.

when a friend of mine and i installed 9.1 (a few days after it's initial release) we encountered install problems related to usb also. the best fix for it was to unplug all usb devices during the install. oh. don't bother with 9.2 unless you're ready to fix alot of stuff. it's the buggiest release they've ever had since i started using linux. (mandrake 7.0.2 was the 1st one i installed)

i did unplug all usb devices. im not totally sure the problem lies there. thanks though
