Mandrake GRAPHIC CARD PROBLEM...and i have a sony!?
WELL. I own a brand new beautiful sony vaio and the graphic card is a """INTEL Graphic Media Accelerator 900. 224MB""" and when I installed Linux Mandrake 2006 on it and it was not able to configure the graphic card... so I looked through the list that it gave and I found lots of cards but not mine... IS THERE ANY WAY to add my graphic card on to that list OR at least do something to help!?!?!

You can configure it as vga or vesa and then check Intel's website for drivers.

you need to go into your failsafe terminal, use X -configure then set the graphics card to VESA or like pvs said, VGA, either will work. I recommend going to intel for the drivers afterward. If you have a boot disc, you can go into the X11.conf file and change that, it should be under etc/X11 remember that linux is case sensitive. any more help needed pm me.
