Due to the great source of info here, and generous members sharing excellent advice, I have decided on downloading Mandrake 9.1 to be used in a dual boot setup on my PC & eventually replace my Win98 OS altogether. I found a site (
http://www.linuxiso.org) to DL the 3 Mandrake 9.1 CD's, but unfortuantly I dont have a CD-burner, just a CD-Rom on my PC. Is there a way to DL them right to my HD or somewheres else on my PC and then install from there? I am assuming that my only choice is to order the CD's and wait for them to arrive.
If there is a way to get around this, and I can DL it to my PC without a CD-burner, does anyone have a ballpark figure of how long it will take to DL with 56k dial-up? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
