I am running 8.2 beta and I am having some problems booting. It just started after my mouse froze while trying to add an RPM. I restarted the machine (not gracefully, because I couldn't log out of Gnome using just the keyboard) and then when I picked Linux at the LILO prompt I get an error that says
"Unable to load default unknown icon: No such file or directory exists."
I have had similar messages dealing with mouse pointers in the past, but I reinstalled everything recently and have had no problems since then. If I choose Failsafe or Linux-nonfb (what does that mean?) The system boots fine.
1) Is this something to be concerned about ?
2) How do I fix it?
3) What is Linux-nonfb
Any help is greatly appreciated.
