Mandrake 9.2 not seeing other mounted drives/partitions...

I'm running Mandrake 9.2, dual-booting with Windows XP Pro. I have three drives, my XP system is on (C while my Mandrake system is on my (D. I recently had to reinstall Mandrake due to a goofup I made with the bootloader. I formatted the drive clean, then let Mandrake reformat according to it's needs. Everything worked fine, but now if I try to access "/mnt" under Konquerer, the program just hangs. However, I made a shortcut to the other two drives, and it sees them just fine. The problem is just /mnt. Also, some programs (like XMMS) will allow me to access /mnt just fine, while others don't. What's the problem here?

Hangups with /mnt are generally related to supermount in mdk. Try disabling supernount and see if you still have problems. To do so, open a console, su to root and run:

# supermount -i disable

To reenable supermount run:

# supermount -i enable.
