Dopo ho eseguito install pppoa (il mio provider supporta solo ppp over atm) con questo risultato:

[root@localhost USR_USB]# ./i
inst_mod inst_pppoa
[root@localhost USR_USB]# ./inst_pppoa
rm -f *.o pppoa
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -ansi -pedantic '-DPPPOA_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppoa"' '-DPPPD_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppd"' '-DVERSION="1.10USR"' -c -o pppoa.o pppoa.c

gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -ansi -pedantic '-DPPPOA_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppoa"' '-DPPPD_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppd"' '-DVERSION="1.10USR"' -c -o debug.o debug.c
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -ansi -pedantic '-DPPPOA_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppoa"' '-DPPPD_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppd"' '-DVERSION="1.10USR"' -c -o common.o common.c
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -ansi -pedantic '-DPPPOA_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppoa"' '-DPPPD_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppd"' '-DVERSION="1.10USR"' -c -o ppp.o ppp.c
gcc -o pppoa pppoa.o if.o debug.o common.o ppp.o

Type 'make install' as root to install the software.
mkdir -p /usr/sbin
/usr/bin/install -c -m 755 -s pppoa /usr/sbin
/usr/bin/install -c -m 755 ./PPP_SCRIPTS/ADI_PPP_Go /usr/sbin
/usr/bin/install -c -m 755 ./PPP_SCRIPTS/ADI_PPP_Stop /usr/sbin

PPP driver installed successfully.

A questo punto, ho modificato il file etc/analog/usradslpots.conf con VPI/VCI 8/35 (per il mio provider)
A questo punto, le instruzioni della casa dicono di inserire il modem nella porta USB. E cosė che ho fatto soltanto che si blocca tutto e non č pių possibile nemenno spegnere il computer. Ho provato senza grafica, nella cosole, e quando si congela viene fuori un messaggio di kernel panic.

Ho rifatto le stesse operazioni 4 volte (ho anche formatato 4 volte!!!)pensando che ho comesso qualche errore, ma il risultato č stato lo stesso negativo.

spero che qualcuno possa darmi una manno.

Grazie raga!!
