Unhappy Mandrake 9.1 Problem


Ok guys im a total (newbie) in linux and I have some problems with Madrake 9.1 it just won't install.. I've create a 4 gig partition non fromatted...and im running win xp
i have 512k of ram when I insert the cd-rom in the drive autorun starts and i click install mandrake.. i click yes to reboot but it reboots and returns to windows.. when i set my bios to read my cd rom dirve i select install but it gets stuck to LOADING PROGRAM INTO MEMORY... Help?!?!

You could try using a boot floppy. I don't have the cds on me now but there instructions on how to create a bootable floppy on the install CD1 (all the stuff you need are on the cd).
