Help with Mandrake 8.1 Install
 
I am trying to install Mandrake 8.1 on my system. It proceeds for a while through the first screen until it tries to locate and read the Installation CD for the actual install. It indicates that it is looking for the CD and that the drive is an HP 9500 Plus Read/Write. My CDR is a 9510 and I believe it cannot find a driver. The system boots OK from the MANDRAKE CD but then it runs into trouble.

I am a total NEWBIE to LINUX. HELP

I have been unable to resolve this problem. Please HELP

I am relative newbie also; however, if at all possible I would try a regular CD drive to get going.

Thanks, I tried another CD and it worked. Now I need to get my CD Burner working for backups...

I have not been able to resolve this problem. I need the CD burner on the machine I intend to run LINUX on. I cannot get it to work with the installation CD's..

Please HELP
