Mandrake 8.00 WEB CAM


I got mdk 8.00 .
The web cam was not detected .
It's a "Creative".
Do I need a special software for run it ?
Which one ?

I think you will need to have a look on somewhere like http://lhd.datapower.com/ to see if it is supported. Current WebCam support doesn't look too great IIRC, my USB Logitech QuikCam VC isn't support at the moment.

If it is supported then you may need to recompile your kernel to add the code of it. For details of this have a look at http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Kernel-HOWTO.html and search the forum for other peoples questions about kernel compilation.
