mandrake


hi,

if i want to install mandrake on pentium 4 which should i download:

* i586
* i586 DVD

also what is the difference between community and official and whcih one do you recommend?

Either one of those should work. The DVD will probably have a few more things included on the disc.

I'm not sure about the differences between community and official. From when I tried out mandriva I remember there was a group you could join by paying a fee that gave access to new versions a little bit earlier than the free version. It might have also included some of extra software, but I'm not certain. I'd guess the community is this one, which means you probably need to be a member to get that one.
