Mandrake 10 on A 700m

Hi

I am fairly new to linux and i just bought a 700m.

when i install mandrake 10 all hardware is recognized except my integrated wifi card, im sure this means there are no linux drivers for the dell card. Have any of you ever put mandrake on a 700m? I Searched google for about 2 days off and on thats why im posting here, can't find to much.

Anyone?

Hello,

I have recently bought a DELL 510 M. Mine was delivered with a wireless card with a Broadcom chipset. This chipset is not recognized by Linux.
I had to install 'ndiswrapper' (have a look on sourceforge.net) to be able to use the Windows driver under Linux (Mandrake 10.1).
The specification on my card are :
Quote:
Identification
Vendeur: Broadcom Corp.
Description: BCM94306 802.11g NIC
I do not know which chipset is installed but it could be interresting to investigate that option and possible explanation.

Hope this helps,
Regards,

Vincent
