Mandrake 10 and resolving host problems

I thought for the last few weeks my internet connection was getting slow but it turns out, Linux is the problem. I loaded XP back into the system and the internet is super fast, with XP. I might has well be connect using a modem with Linux. Any link I click, it goes into resolving Host for 20 seconds before I see the page. I already turned off IPV6 and confirmed resolv.conf was pointing to the currect DNS server.

what else can I do.....
