Well dang.. i need to change my info.. cause i ran red hat for about a week. couldnt get it to work right.. now everyone is tellin me mandrake is easier.. i am going to be running knoppix for my website. have 2 80 gb 8mb 7200 rpms.. 1 for xp pro.. other for drake.. i just want to learn it and get rid of windows..

If you're feeling a bit adventurous then maybe you can try the community edition. Tell us your hardware or check on the Mandrake website for any known bugs related to your hardware.

Your Asus mobo might give mouse trouble with the 2.6 kernel. But n worrys, I also have an Asus mobo(Asus Cusi-m) and the mouse works fine with the 2.4 kernel.
In order to get it to install the 2.4 kernel, push escape at the start screen of the installation and enter alt1.
Maybe you should check the Mandrake website for a list of knwon probs that might pop up.
