Mandrake 10.1 wont BOOT

after my issue with redhat, i formatted and installed mandrake over it. it went smoothly, finalized installation and rebooted. as it rebooted into linux, the bar got halfway and didnt move past that for 20 mins or so. i pressed ESC and it was stopped on "Checking for new hardware" or something like that......

help me please!

seeing your previous thread with another OS, you may have
a problem with the screen / video card

What you can try is to disable in the bios sound card and the like
disable the inthernet card as well

just keep the minimal and see if you can boot

What is the PC configuration?

Press esc repeatedly as soon as the splash screen comes so you can
see the messages
Also in mandy you can press the I key to go step by step
and you might be able to jump over the hardware detection problem
