Mandrake 10.1 with cable modem

I've a Linux Mandrake 10.1 with a ADSL connection that is perfect. But I want to get an other broadband provider, a cable TV company.

My questions are:

1. How I remove the ADSL connection at Mandrake boot;

2. How I create a connection(automatic at boot, if possible) to the cable modem? This connection doesn't ask for user/password.

(In Win XP, I only power the machine on and after the boot the INTERNET is on line).

If your using KDE desktop, it should be under Internet/connect to the internet or something like that, also there is something like that in the control panel.l
