MDK 10 Community

This message is brought to you by Mandrake 10 community, running KDE 3.2 :) So, yeah, Mandrake 10 is really good, there is a huge difference between it and 9.1 (It's much faster and stabler!) I say give it a try, you son't be disapointed!

Redeye2 03-20-2004 07:53 PM

MUCH faster.

bigjohn 03-20-2004 10:29 PM

Me too!

But don't forget, the "community" bit means it's a testing release. If you get it installed, up and running, then you're probably going to want to get all the updates installed before you carry on.

But yes, it does seem a lot quicker though whether that's the 2.6.3 kernel (don't select LSB during installation, otherwise it will install a 2.4 kernel) or kde 3.2

John

Yes, it's MUCH faster and I really like it. I have already submitted two bug reports though :D . Don't let that put you off.

Lucky old you beejayzed,

Personally, I doubt whether I'd recognise a bug in a computer if it stared me in the face (unless it's got the requisite legs, shell antennae, etc etc :))

Just something I've noticed now, how come my penguin(the one next to the date posted) is the only one with the question mark on it?
