Managed to mess up KDE log in....

Hi,

I had been doing some file removal & have managed to remove some .kde files now as a normal user I cannot log in to KDE

So to be able to use KDE I created a new user ...

Is there a way to transfer config files for old (messed up user ) to new user ...???

Or is there as way to recover my old account settings ????

I am getting /$HOME/<username> errors & missing DCOP files ????

Thank you in advance....

Hi there!

you may copy the complete .kde directory of the old user to the new user, but after that you must delete all sokcet-* and tmp-* files in the /home/<user>/.kde directory where <user> is the user you copied the dir to.
