Man in the middle Protection


how i can protect my self from Man in the middle?

my brother use BackTrack and i think he testing attacks on my computer.

i use Fedora
but also Ubuntu

Take a look at this info http://security.stackexchange.com/qu...-beside-of-ssl but without being able to sanitize your input via some sort of encryption/cryptography there isnt a valid option to prevent these. MITM attacks are pretty rare and require someone who actually knows how to hack and social engineer people. I would be more worried about preventing the attacks the script kiddies can hit you with, dumb stuff like cross-site session jacking, sql injections, stuff of that nature is much easier to safeguard against.
