making a show desktop shortcut?

I have a show desktop button on my taskbar and I wanna know how I can maybe make one. I have a child panel and I would like to move the show desktop button to there. I could move all the other buttons and applets to the child panel and use the main panel as the child panel but I just wanted to ask so I knew.

well you can right click the panel and go to add to panel and then go to utility and then its called "show desktop button"
also ctrl-alt-d is the keystroke shortcut...

p.s. greetings fellow nova scotian :D

Thanks, ctrl-alt d is much better but I should have mentioned that I'm using kde. sorry. What desktop manager are you using? Witch one is the best?

I don't think I have that desktop manager but I found the answer to my problem. I'm not sure why I missed it before but if you right click on the taskbar and select add/special button/Desktop access, That will give you the Show desktop shortcut.
