Try lowercase, it's usually:
make install

However, you have to make it first with:
make

Read over the README that is usually included with these types of files, it should give you some idea on how to install it.

Anyway, so you should try:
./configure
make
make install

Lowercase

Cool

Either you need to su to root to perform a make install or your su'ing to root but then not in the directory your compiling from.

After the make clean type this:

$ su -m
$ (root's password)
# make install

( And like MasterC said, it is all lowercase )

Usually by default when you su to root, it throws you into root's home directory. By su'ing with the -m, it will log you in as root staying in your current working directory.

If all of that doesn't help you and you still get the error, most likely something went wrong during the previous steps. Check and make sure there were no errors previously.

Before you install those programs, you should read the INSTALL file first.
It will teach you how to install ..
