mailing


Every day logs are Mailed to "root", ,but I want to logs to be mailed to other mail id like "xyz@yahoo.com"

What components and modifications do i need to have .Anyway I was running sendmail and no DNS running

Add a line to /etc/aliases like:
root:xyz@yahoo.com

Then rebuild the aliases table:
newaliases

Mailing

Still it is not mailing to xyz@yahoo.com

I have an entry in /etc/aliases root : root, praveen_mscis@yahoo.com, which will send mail to root and pgiven id

but not mailing to given id
