mail. pl


I use the command "mail.pl my_address < /tmp/file" can send mail to my mail box , the mail content is /tmp/file , but if I do not add < /tmp/file , the mail will not be send , it wait me to input data , then press cltr-d to send .

Execpt use "< /tmp/file" , how can I send the mail to may mail box with the messages in /tmp/file ? thx

Is mail.pl some kind of script to send mails?

I usually use mail.pl to send mail to my mail box , it run on the shell . thx

'.pl' extension normally denotes a Perl program. Show us the src code.

The OP has three different threads open about this same issue, all just slightly different. OP is just not getting that the problem is on the Windows end of things, based on the descriptions in the other threads.

Use mailx command.(nail)
