 mandy - suse:)
im trying to swap from mandrake 10 which i dont like, to suse linux 9.1 pro,
But i cant because mandrake wont read the suse cd, you go to cdrom and nothings there. Also mandrake is super super slow, so whats going on? Does any one know how i can swap to suse? |
Can't you just boot from the cd....?
( maybe change bootseqence in the BIOS-settings to boot from cdrom ) egag |
Mandrake isn't super super slow on my machine. What are you doing that is slow? Did you install chipset and video drivers for your hardware after you installed the operating system?
I've used Suse and Mandrake. The only difference I see between them is the initial background wallpaper, green vs. purplish-blue, and a lizard instead of a star. There are technical differences, but really they are virtually the same product - except programmers complain about suse not including a debugger any longer. |
