LXLE will not update after install
Just installed LXLE 12.04 32 bit on my Thinkpad T42, every time I try to use the update manager or synaptic package manager I get this error and it says I have to fix it,
E:Method has died unexpectedly!, E:Sub-process returned an error code (100), E:Method /usr/lib/apt/methods/ did not start correctly anyone know what this is. I have no clue and cannot install anything. I have installed it a couple of months ago and had no problems on another T42. |
Post your /etc/apt/sources.list.

In case you need to know how to answer EDDY1 question.
Open up a terminal and copy and paste and then hit enter and post back here what it spits out. Code:
cat /etc/apt/sources.list http://www.serenux.com/2013/08/howto...rrectly-error/ But answer EDDY1 question first before trying out anything if I was you. Just to be on the safe side. |
@rokytnji that is a great link but I wonder if they tried

Great glad you got it working.

I also am glad it worked out for you. I see LXLE is using Precise.
If they come out with a Trusty version. It might benefit you to do a fresh install based on that version. And whaddya know. They did come out with a Trusty version. http://mylinuxexplore.blogspot.com/2...istro-ive.html Quote:

Just a idea you may not have considered. I like their game over edition myself. It is based on Debian Testing instead of Ubuntu. Runs on 32 bit systems also. http://sparkylinux.org/# http://sparkylinux.org/download/# Just a idea for your next project install is all. Happy Trails, Rok |
