Does the system boot from the CD? What happens? |
The beta download page says that you need at least 256mb to install.
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ Maybe is was a bad burn? Try burning it again on a slower speed. Is you bios set to boot from you cd drive? (it should be, but you never know...) |
I downloaded 4 different versions before I got one that would work.
The basic i-386-desktop version passed the MD5 and SHA checks but there was a error (couldn't find a certain file) in it somewhere that caused the install to fail (tried 3 different downloads) I tried the alternate install iso but it failed the MD5 checks and wouldn't work, same with the server version (failed MD5 and wouldn't boot). I eventually got it to install using the mini.iso minimal version but I still had to do a lot of command line jiggery to get a proper working graphical desktop which I probably wouldn't have been able to do if I was a noob. Looks like there is quite a bit of work needed to get this to final release stage but it does look quite nice once it is installed. |

Where did you download it from? How did you burn the CD (as a file, or as an ISO image?) "it does not work"....WHAT doesn't work? Error(s) that you get? And "someone has idea how much ram memory needed"...yes, the site where you GOT your distro has ALL that information. Go look it up. |
