Lubuntu 11.04 live CD won't boot - need command for ubunut@ubuntu:~$

The live CD gets to the blue Lubuntu load screen, the goes to a black screen, loads a few lines, then gets to

ubunut@ubuntu:~$

From there...nothing. What is the command to run Lubuntu live?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the command-line interface! Some of us actually configure our systems to boot to it. If all is well with your system, typing startx followed by hitting the enter key will bring you to the lxdm screen. If all is not well, post the output here and we'll see what we can do to assist you.

Thanks for the quick replies!

OK, I ran startx an it did a system check (I guess). It came back to ubuntu@ubuntu~$.

What I noticed was:
Failed to load module "nvida"
Failed to load module "nv"
and
xnit connection to x server lost

Some more info: The Lubuntu 11.04 is the 32bit desktop version, and I'm trying this on a machine running Mint 10 32bit, so here are the details of this machine:

Just got the answer here where I posted the same problem: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...1#post11290051

I still learned an new trick here with "startx". One more for my Linux Tips and Tricks folder.

Thanks to both of you for your replies!
