LTO-5 Tape drive issue - mt -f /dev/st0 fsf 1 not working


Hello,

I am working on LTO-5 Tape to take take backup of files from my local filesystem. the backup completes successfully.

when i issue command i getting the below

even i try to go to file 1 am not able to .. it is showing only File number as 0.

Can you guide me with the solution

[root]# mt -f /dev/st0 stat
SCSI 2 tape drive:
File number=0, block number=0, partition=0.
Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x58 (no translation).
Soft error count since last status=0
General status bits on (41010000):
BOT ONLINE IM_REP_EN
[root]#
[root]# mt -f /dev/st0 rewind
[root]#
[root]# mt -f /dev/st0 fsf 1
[root]#
[root]# mt -f /dev/st0 stat

When you use /dev/st0, the device automatically rewinds when closed, and that happens after after every command. Try /dev/nst0 instead (and that's for the "stat" command, too).
