lsdvd build help

Im trying to compile lsdvd from source.

However, everytime i try to configure it i get a fatal error that "libdvdread" could not be found.

now i know that those are in /usr/lib64.

Code:
localhost:/home/freddy/acidrip-0.14/lsdvd-0.10 # ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal-1.4... missing
checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake-1.4... missing
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g ) works... yes
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g ) is a cross-compiler... no
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking for DVDOpen in -ldvdread... no
configure: error: libdvdread not found!
localhost:/home/freddy/acidrip-0.14/lsdvd-0.10 #
And just to double check

Code:
localhost:/home/freddy/acidrip-0.14/lsdvd-0.10 # ls -la /usr/lib64/ | grep libdvdread
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       15 2006-06-09 04:42 libdvdread.so.2 -> libdvdread.so.3
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       19 2006-06-09 04:42 libdvdread.so.3 -> libdvdread.so.3.2.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 302627 2006-05-05 10:14 libdvdread.so.3.2.0
localhost:/home/freddy/acidrip-0.14/lsdvd-0.10 #
I have also tried to include the patht o the lib path with no luck

Code:
localhost:/home/freddy/acidrip-0.14/lsdvd-0.10 # ./configure --libdir=/usr/lib64
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install...
Should i try to rebuild the dvdread library?

I believe that is the default but, i gave it a shot anyways. However, im really back where i started.

Im still getting that it cant find the header files for libdvdread. I have even changed the --prefix=/usr and --includedir=/usr/include/ with no luck.

I racking my brain as to what little thing im overlooking.

thanks for the help

try creating a soft link lib.so to the existing lib.so.3 files that you have.
