lp:error- no default destination available
The printer shows up in /proc/bus/usb/devices and has a driver. I just need to know how to get it to work. I get;
lp:error- no default destination available I tried linux-usb.org and the site has been down all day. It worked yesterday but not now. |
Is it defined in CUPS? The fact that the USB subsystem sees it doesn't necessarily
mean that CUPS knows about it. Cheers, Tink |
cups it was. For anyone that needs to configure cups and a printer in the future, it can be done from the command line(at least in slack 11) like I did using the web browser lynx;
lynx http://localhost:631/admin It asks for a user name and password. Im sure any browser will open that address though. From there you have complete administrative control. |
