mandrake 10.0+KDE+GNOME

i have mandrake working well.
sound is very good and even more than in windows.
but the video resolution is poor when compare to windows.
i am using "xine, mplayer,realplayer,totem"
all are having some what low resolution when compare to media player in windows.

is there any way to increase this.

Xine uses the resolution of the movie you play without cheating. Just increase the window size.
