Lotus replacement?? Any mail client up for the task?

Good day,

I don't understand internal working of lotus notes.
I don't know if it is possible for a non lotus mail client to retrieve mails from lotus servers.

Is that possible.

If yes Which linux mail client is that?

Thank you.

Lotus is not your off-the-mill IMAP or POP client, to the best of my
knowledge (which in the Linux world needs updating every day ;}) there's
no replacement for the native clients.

There is, however, a howto for getting the real thing to work with wine:
http://wiki.winehq.org/LotusNotes

Cheers,
Tink
