Help!!!!!! I just instaled Linux Mandrake 7.2 ad am trying to configure my Monitor. After abot 5 or 6 trys in DrakX I lose all mouse contol and I don't get it back untill I do a full restart on my computer? Can anybody help me??

What do you mean "configure my monitor"?

What do you mean "5 or 6 tries"? Are you not sure of the type of configuration you need?

I'm not that familiar with Mandrake, but you should be able to boot to (or change to) a console (runlevel 1/3) and do your configuration (DrakX) there. That way you could run a mouseconfig before X ever tries to start-at least that way you wouldn't LOSE your mouse, but you may have to reconfigure it.

Let me guess, USB mouse?

Mandrake 7.2 is utter shit with USB. I use a USB-PS2 adapter. Failing that, upgrade to 8.0beta or manually install kernel 2.4.2.
