Losing files on a vfat partion

I formatted a partition fat32 so I could read and write to it in both Linux and Windows and in fact it has worked. But I have lost some music files that I created using Sound Juicer, (ripping them from CDs). Does anyone know what causes this, better yet how to fix it?

I have FC-5 and use KDE.

Thanks,

royeo

How did you lose these files exactly? You put them on the disc after you formatted it, and now they have disappeared?

I don't know how they disappeared. I ripped them from CDs into a directory on the fat32 partition. All I know is I had them and now I don't.

Thank you,

Sounds like they either were accidentally deleted, or possibly moved to another directory. This scenario would apply equally to both Windows and Linux.
