Yesterday i was reinstalling dsl on my computer. it worked well, from the installation progress. I tried to boot it fromhard disk and it worked. After that i added some line in GRUB configuration to make dsl GRUB recognized other Linux distro and xp, and it succeed.
But today, i tried to log on dsl and failed. GRUB failed boot dsl and it is appear like this:
Booting 'DSL'
kernel /boot/linux24 root=/dev/hda3 quiet vga=normal noacpi noapm nodma noscsi frugal
[linux-bs image , setup = 0 x 1400m size = 0 x f17f7]
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel
Kernel Panic : VFS : unable to mount root fs on 03;03
If the rest of the distros still boot ok it is probably the dsl installation. Most of the business card distros do not copy the entire program to disk. When you think you are installing it saves the setup preferences and home folder to hd and plans on you booting with the disk. I am poor at giving directions so I will refer you to this article
"If i did, how can i edit GRUB meanwhile i can't enter dsl?"
Grub has a "command line" feature. Just press the magic button at the right time and you get the command line. From there you can inspect the boot arguments, edit them, and attempt to reboot with your new arguments. You should be able to get DSL (or any other Linux you have installed) to boot that way, then fix up the Grub "menu.lst".
