Looking for Linksys WUSB600N (Ralink rt2870 chipset) support.

I'm so determined to get Linux to jive well with my rt2870 that I'll try any distro. The thing is, the only source for internet on this computer IS through my rt2870 (WUSB600N), so I need something that I can say, mount my windows partition and copy some .ko files or something from there - otherwise, until I get this working I can't do anything 'net-wise with Linux.

Plus I have only tried this with LiveCD's before, thinking ndiswrapper would work - and it doesn't.

So, native Ralink rt2870 drivers compiling and installing on ANY distro would be great.

:)

Googled "rt2870 linux" and the first result:

Might that help? ;)

Uhm.

Actually, I already have that file. I'm just wondering if anybody's had a success story with the drivers and on what distro?

I have succesfully installed "Ralink RT2870" driver on Slackware 12.2 applying instructions in README file. But "make install" command is missing in the instructions. After "make", I added "make install" also.
